Dear alumnae,
Firstly, a heartfelt THANK YOU to every single of you for your undying dedication, love and support throughout the rehearsals. It was my honour to be able to serve you as the president of St. Marg’s Winds. You girls are amazing! Committee members and level reps, thanks so so much for dissembling messages down to everyone. Wanda, my dearest secretary, I couldn’t have done it without you! Hazel Hong, my dear Vice-Pres, your encouragement really pushed me on even when I was on the verge of giving up. Everyone of you played an important role in making this concert an absolute success. 3 cheers for everyone! :)
Alright, now that I’m done with the “thank you”s, let me say a few things..
1. It’s undeniable– We played well. :)
2. I’ve received a lot of positive comments regarding our playing (We shan’t name names here…)
3. I’m intending to write in to SMESA for funding and support. (Help & suggestions needed)
4. I think we might just be ready to have our own band concert next year. What do you think? (pls leave comments)
5. I TOTALLY enjoyed the music-making experience last evening. Seriously speaking, it’s one of my best. It was really tight. It may not be technically perfect, but who cares? Elizabeth Green did say that “Music lives when notes fly off the page and soar into glorious sounds” right? :) Our rendition of The Merry Widow was pretty. Those full long chords got my GPI (goose-pimple index) flying to the celling. Woohoo!~ :)
I hope the concert’s been a memorable one for you, as it has been for me. Remember to keep your photos & videos coming in so we can compile everything. Jannah’s suggesting we set a date to meet & watch our performance on video together. It can be our ‘post concert celebration’ too. Any volunteers to plan?
I’ll leave you ladies to savour the remains of that nostalgic feeling from last evening.. Aww.. don’t you just wish it’s not over yet?
Cheers ladies, we did well. We ALL did. :)
As the late Mrs Lee would have said, “Let all Glory be to God”.
Let’s move on from this and do greater works! I’m all excited already. :)

Bandgals, Margtians, St. Marg’s!
From yours truly,
Shu Feng
(that skinny woman who has been nagging since day 1)
I’m all for St. Marg’s Winds very own concert! I believe that it’d be great! :D And maybe this time the main band can be our guest performers!
I’m looking forward to it, really.
And also, I receieved quite a few positive feedbacks from my friends that the alumni band sounded good. Great job Ladies. Together we’re invincible, hahaha!
Love, Kellyn.
OK! concert!
i’m up for it too!!! *prays* please make it happen!
i’m for it too.
haha shu, rmb how you told me you felt discouraged about the attendance? i’m glad you didn’t give up, and the rest of us didn’t either.
eyyy i want recordings. HAHA.
Yup Kris, we made each other stronger. :)
I’ll let you all knows once I’ve hear about the availability of the recordings and videos. Till then, stay HIGH and ON about more music making! :)
Hell yes Merry Widow for next concert! With piano! :)
Hahaha, Diana I don’t think it’s very likely that we’ll be playing Merry Widow again though. It’d be like a repeated repertoire. ):
eh,got no more POLKA photos?
I’m still tabulating the pictures together. But I’m not done with it yet. Does anyone has more pictures to contribute?
I will try to get some from the school photographers.
